Studio Photography

Shown below are several examples of studio photography shoot within the past few years. Studio photography has taught me many skills such as how to work without natural light and how to use studio flash. Working in a studio with different types of light is drastically different from shooting in natural light, but it also opens several possibilities for a photographer concerning crispness of photos and different ways to light a subject. Using a studio is a good choice for fashion shoots because it provides a blank background that does not distract from the subject. Personally, I like shooting with natural light much better, but I do love playing around with studio flash because it creates a perfectly crisp photo. Another thing that is fun is using different colored lights to create effects on the subject. I've learned a lot about different ways to use studios through my photography classes, and I surely hope to learn more in the future.
