Photojournalism

I had never thought about engaging in photojournalism until one of the graduating photographers of the Arlingtonian asked me to join. From there it was a learning process; getting the right angles, finding unique ways to present images, and producing high-quality images for the publication are all essential. I've learned a few tricks along the way which have helped immensely such as communicating with the writers, taking many shots from multiple angles, and always taking lighting into account. Since joining the staff I've fallen in love with photojournalism and documenting what happens around me, and hope I can learn more and improve my skills in the future. Here are some of the shots I've taken for clubs, businesses, the Arlingtonian publication, and for myself.
