People/Portrait Photography

My absolute favorite type of photography is portrait/environmental portraitures of people. Photographing people give you a wide range of variance and everyone has their own story. I love how different each person is and enjoy documenting the reality of people instead of heavily editing them. Most often I photograph people in naturally lighted settings to make the photos as real as possible. Many are staged, but many of them are also candid. When doing a photo shoot, I've learned its best not to pose the person and to let them fall into the most comfortable position as possible. Some guidance is a good idea but allowing the subject do their own thing and fall into their own place always yields wonderful results. I've said many times that some of my best photos are the ones that weren't planned and those where I just happened to hit the shutter at the right time.
